Description

This statue of a Minuteman is at the Old North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts, and was created by the sculptor Daniel Chester French. A similar statue stands in Lexinton, but it has no plow, and the man is hatless. On the base of this statue is the first verse of Emerson's poem "Concord Hymn." This is one of the most popular landmarks in Massachusetts.
